The stairs were redesigned from traditional concrete construction to a lightweight galvanised steel frame with thin walled GRC panelling which allowed access for electrical services and lighting to easily be installed and maintained. The stair treads were also wet cast using a premix GRC backer considerably reducing the overall on site program from weeks to a matter of days
